Booked two scissor lifts on a Thursday afternoon for a Friday morning start. Both landed on site before 7am with the pre-delivery inspection, function test and compliance certs already in the cab - saved my supervisor an hour of paperwork chasing.

FAQ

Before you enquire

What is the difference between a knuckle boom and a stick boom?

A knuckle boom (articulating boom) has a jointed arm that allows it to reach up and over obstacles – ideal where direct vertical access is blocked. A stick boom (telescopic boom) extends in a straight line, giving greater horizontal reach at height. Stick booms are generally faster to position over large open areas. Knuckle booms are better for access in and around obstructions.

Electric boom lifts are quieter, zero emission and suited to indoor environments and sensitive outdoor sites. Diesel boom lifts are more powerful, have longer run times and are designed for outdoor construction, rough terrain and demanding conditions. Diesel 4WD models have the ground clearance and traction for uneven and civil sites.
Secondary guarding (or secondary operator protection system) is a safety feature that cuts power to the boom controls if the operator is pushed against the guardrail – preventing crush injuries. It is a requirement on most Australian construction sites and is standard across the Want Access boom lift fleet.
