The cost of the wrong yard

It's not the hire rate that hurts.

It's the delayed handover, the failed compliance audit, and the crew standing around while a substandard machine gets sorted. Three things we see when sites switch to us from the big generalists.

Delayed handovers.

A scissor that arrives a day late, or a boom that fails on a tight program, pushes your handover date and the liquidated damages clock with it. The hire rate is the smallest number in that equation.

Failed compliance audits.

Tier 1 auditors don't accept verbal assurances. Missing service records, expired quarterly certs, or SWMS that doesn't match your WHS system turn into stop-work notices and rework.

Safety exposure.

A machine that hasn't been function-tested is a SafeWork incident waiting to happen, and the yard you hired from becomes part of the WHS chain. The cheap hire isn't cheap when it's your PCBU notice.

Why Want Access

Built for the sites that can't afford downtime.

Four things we do differently from the generalists, and why site managers, procurement and WHS keep coming back.

Trading since 2014.

Privately owned. Twelve years hiring into Sydney's construction, infrastructure and industrial market. When you call, you get the yard. Not a national call centre reading a script.

Australian Standards, documented.

Every machine function-tested and inspected before it leaves the yard. Pre-delivery inspection records, quarterly and annual compliance certificates, SWMS templates and risk assessments, supplied with every hire, formatted to pass Tier 1 audit.

In-house training at Smeaton Grange.

Yellow Card, EWP WP Licence, VOC and Working at Heights. Delivered out of our Smeaton Grange facility, or on your site through accredited affiliates. Crew trained, documented and signed off.

Field Service Technicians.

On-site servicing and breakdown response. When a machine needs attention mid-hire, we come to you. Repaired on site where possible, swapped same-day where not. Your crew doesn't stand down. You don't pay for the downtime.

Servicing

We hire it. We stand behind it.

Pre-delivery inspection before it leaves the yard. Scheduled on-site servicing once it's there. Field Service Technicians on call 24/7 for active hires. Every hire comes with the paperwork to prove it.

  • Pre-delivery inspection and function test on every machine
  • Scheduled on-site servicing, no off-hire required
  • Quarterly and annual compliance certificates included
  • Risk assessments and SWMS templates supplied
  • 24/7 mechanical support line for the life of the hire

Booked two scissor lifts on a Thursday afternoon for a Friday morning start. Both landed on site before 7am with the pre-delivery inspection, function test and compliance certs already in the cab - saved my supervisor an hour of paperwork chasing.
