At Want Access, servicing is not an add-on. Every machine that leaves our Smeaton Grange yard has been function-tested and pre-delivery inspected. The compliance documentation comes standard. And for the full duration of your hire, our Field Service Technicians are on call around the clock.
Most hire yards will send you a machine and hope for the best. We build the service around the assumption that the machine needs to perform on a live construction site, where downtime is measured in liquidated damages, SafeWork notices and stalled programs.

Why it matters

The cost of a poorly serviced machine

A hire rate is the smallest number in the equation when a machine fails on site. Three things that happen when servicing is treated as an afterthought.

Delayed handovers

A machine that fails mid-program pushes your handover date. The liquidated damages clock doesn't stop because the hire yard's machine broke down. Downtime on a live program has a cost that dwarfs the hire rate.

Failed compliance audits

Tier 1 auditors require documented service records, current compliance certificates and SWMS that matches your WHS system. Missing any one of these turns into a stop-work notice, rework and delays.

Safety exposure

A machine that hasn't been function-tested is a SafeWork incident waiting to happen. The hire yard becomes part of the WHS duty of care chain. A cheap hire isn't cheap when it generates a PCBU improvement notice.
